Mother’s Day is this Sunday!!! If you are a mom you know just how much these little ones keep us on our toes! When my friends at Maggy London asked me to take part in their Mother’s Day Celebration, I jumped at it! Today I’m sharing my Mother’s Day with Maggy London and why I love dressing up with my girls. I loved the Melrose dress the moment I saw it! The two bright colors and the cut are perfect!

Mothering has been one of the greatest joys of my life. It has also been one of the biggest challenges. Becoming a mother is so amazing and a selfless act. These have easily become my reason for so many things. I strive to be a better person for them and make this world a better place for them. I am driven by them to be an example to them that they can go after their dreams without sacrificing other areas of their lives.
Mother’s Day with Maggy London
I had this vision of a wonderful evening, having fun together and playing in our fancy dresses. That bubble was popped quickly! If you’ve ever taken pictures with kids then you can relate to me, right! Please tell me I’m not the only one. It quickly became stressful. My oldest, Olivia just wanted to run around and climb on rocks while the wind picked up and threw our hair around our faces. Little sprinkles began to fall as my stress level rose.
This all reminded me that life doesn’t work out the way I want and every situation has it’s flaws. I dropped my attitude and tried to just embrace these precious moments together amongst all the crazy things around us. I know I have a tendency to get wrapped up in the stressful situation but they are teaching me to let it go!
Embracing the failures
This Mother’s Day with Maggy London taught me to embrace the failures and learn from them…next time I do a photo shoot with these girls we are doing a little picnic with some yummy cupcakes! That will keep their attention right? At least it would have turned her frown upside down. And at least we all looked cute together. Maggy London is having a site wide sale you should take advantage of now through the weekend! 20% off everything with code MOM20! I spied some maxi dresses I’ll be getting!
I am so glad I got the opportunity to share this Mother’s Day with Maggy London. I’m usually the one behind the camera taking pictures of them. Having pictures of us together, dressed up and somewhat smiling is something I will cherish. They won’t be this young forever and it will be fun to look back on with them in the future. To get a few of your own, all you need to do is grab your favorite Maggy London dress, then find cute outfits for your little ones and set aside 30-40 mins with your photographer or talented friend! Remember when you order from Maggy London it’s worry free. They have this amazing benefit called The Fitting Room. If your dress doesn’t fit, they send a prepaid shipping label for you to return it and get the right size.
I just had to share the cutest picture of Olivia! It was her half birthday on Monday and I love any reason to celebrate. She has been asking for this baby doll persistently and this face made worth it!
